Sometimes I do not hear anything when I check out the titles at Shockwave ...

Q:Sometimes I don't hear anything when I check out the titles at Shockwave. What can I do to hear sound at Shockwave on my Windows computer?

A:
We've found that most sound issues are the result of an outdated driver for the sound card. Make sure you have the latest driver for your sound card. Sometimes, the sound issues are related to the way Windows handles sound. Windows prioritizes .wav sounds in the following way:

Applications playing .wav sounds will mask sounds played by other applications that are subsequently launched. You can work around this issue by closing Shockwave or Flash applications while you listen to RealPlayer, and vice versa. Upgrading to the latest version of Shockwave Player should resolve most sound issues.
