Software Engineer

Summary: Under general supervision conducts software design, development, and testing. Creates software products based on specifications developed in conjunction with customer application experts from other departments within the company. Qualification Requirements: Education: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent Experience: 2 – 4 years research and/or development experience Skills: Good knowledge of Windows and Solaris platforms and associated development tools desirable Good knowledge of software development procedures Good organizational, decision making and communication skills. Must have solid working experience in Java application development. Good knowledge of PC and software applications such as Java, J2EE, EJB, JMS, Java web application development (Servlets, JSP, JSF), JBoss, MySQL, Hibernate Knowledge of network management such as FCAPS, management protocols, SNMP, fault management, performance monitoring is desirable Knowledge of security such as authentication, authorization, auditing, two-factor, encryption, keys, etc is desirable Knowledge of web application design such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSF, user interface design is desirable Knowledge of enterprise application design such as High Availability, scalability, enterprise application architecture, etc is desirable
