Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer, you will be working on one of the most visible and critical areas of the product: designing and delivering Content Accelerators comprised of Clarity portlets, dashboards, processes, and object frameworks. Interested candidates should be SQL experts and able to use advanced techniques to build efficient SQL queries to enhance the rendering of dashboard portlets. There will be collaboration with other engineers, product managers, quality assurance analysts and the documentation team. Your contribution will run from conception and early design of content features through their delivery in commercial releases and subsequent, market-driven improvements.

The best candidates will have:

• At least three years of enterprise software development experience in a commercial environment • Able to demonstrate direct, ''hands on'' experience from product concept through maintenance and show a thorough understanding of software development processes and methodologies • Ability to work as a peer with software engineers and other participants in the development process is also essential • Effective oral and written communicators on technical as well as business topics • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required • At least one year or more experience with SQL, XML technologies, Java, and Crystal Reports (Business Objects) is a plus • Must have experience with web architecture components for a J2EE environment, using IBM Websphere or BEA Weblogic or Apache Tomcat
