Applications Developer

The primary role of this position is to create enhancements for our Microsoft SharePoint portal, utilizing the SharePoint object model and Microsoft’s .NET framework. It requires supporting custom development efforts as internal departmental sites are rolled out to new business units and continued support to existing production sites. The ideal candidate will apply industry accepted best practices, as well as, principles and processes uniquely related to SharePoint in developing efficient and effective sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with business analysts to evaluate functional requirements and formulate technical requirements for customizations • Design, develop, test and implement solutions • Plan, manage, and execute deliverables and timelines within work streams

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of software development with Microsoft .NET framework: C#, ASP.NET • 5+ years experience creating data models and working with Oracle, SQL Server Access and data modeling tools such as AllFusion Erwin • 5+ years experience with database design, normalization, stored procedures • 3+ years experience developing applications in VB or VBA • 3+ years experience with scripting languages JavaScript, VBScript • 3+ years working with XML and Web Services • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle • Bachelor of Science degree (Computer Science - preferred)

Preferred Skills:

• 2+ years working knowledge of SharePoint and significant experience in designing and implementing SharePoint sites with workflows • 2+ years hands-on experience with creating InfoPath forms and working with SharePoint Designer • 2+ years working knowledge of the SharePoint object model, developing and deploying web parts, working knowledge of CAML • 2+ years of Adobe Flex application development • 2+ years of Cold Fusion application development • Knowledge of Search Engines, preferably Coveo
