Software Engineer

Position Summary As a Software Engineer on the Production Engineering team, you would be involved with late-breaking, medium-sized projects that involve product enhancement, site maintenance and debugging. This team is one of our more fast-paced development teams as all lifecycles are no more than two weeks. The PE team works on products and new features encompassing all areas of our website.

Responsibilities: The Opportunity: • Develop Java and JSP Software for website applications based upon requirements from Product Management and designs provided by architects. • You will effectively interface with cross-departmental teams • Write design documents that can be understood by other software engineers and architects • Ensure system quality by unit testing, writing automated test scripts, and supporting QA staff to test software systems • Debug and resolve code and web page problems • Develop/implement UI’s from design layouts

Qualifications: The Job Requirements: • A strong understanding of Java (3+ years) and object oriented development (5+ years) • Strong experience in Java Servlet and JSP development in a commercial application environment with Resin or ATG Dynamo. Experience with Tomcat, WebLogic or WebSphere can be substituted in lieu of Resin or ATG experience. • Experience with SQL, JDBC, PL/SQL, with emphasis in web presentation • Experience with ANT, JUnit or similar build and unit testing frameworks • Experience with Model 1 & 2 MVC architecture, Spring and/or Struts.
