Senior Technical Specialist Provide customized software development for customers including large end-users, third party developers and independent consulting organizations. Analyze potential technology projects and make determinations on project feasibility. Provide consulting assistance to third-party software developers in designing applications to run on Novell platforms. Work closely with customers to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Program, develop, and test software solutions using C++ and J2EE technologies including exteNd Director, exteNd Composer, and exteNd Application Server. Design, configure, and develop relational databases using Oracle. Program, configure, and test solutions on various operating systems including Windows and Linux. Identify software development issues and propose solutions. Develop test plans and write and execute test cases. Write test automation scripts and programs and maintain test environment. Enter and track defects and report on test results. Provide input for product documentation, review requirements, design documents, and research customer and software issues.

Requirements: BS in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or related occupations of Software Engineer, Consultant, Programmer/Analyst, or related. Three years of experience in the job offered or related occupation must involve Oracle, C++, J2EE technologies including exteNd Director, exteNd Composer, and exteNd Application Server, and configuring and testing in Windows and Linux. Employer will accept single degree or any combination of degrees, diplomas, or professional credentials determined by a qualified evaluation service to be equivalent to a BS.
