Java Software Engineer

* Responsibilities: * Collaborate on application architecture and design within and between engineering teams. * Develop applications, review code, and document solutions within a structured development environment. * Successfully manage workload of multiple projects simultaneously from the ground level up. * Communicate and cooperate proactively with teammates and coworkers. * Cultivate a self-motivated, naturally curious approach, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced and client-focused environment. * Cultivate flexibility and adaptability in use of new technology. * Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Required Technical Experience:

* Exposure to Best Practice and Procedure methods in S/W. * Object Oriented Analysis, Design, and Programming. * Strong proficiency in Java application development. * Preferred Technical Experience to include a subset of: * Spring Web Application Framework (MVC, Security). * Web Services (AXIS 2, SOAP, XML, REST) * User interfaces and software usability. * Web 2.0 (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX) * Swing/Nimbus * Open Software Foundation offerings (Jakarta Commons, SourceForge) * Reporting framework experience * JUnit, JMeter, Fortify * SQL and data modeling * Unified Modeling Language (UML), JavaDoc * Experience working in a Windows, Unix (Solaris, Linux), and AS400 environment.
