Lead Software Engineer

Lead Software Engineers responsible for leading software development teams responsible for legacy and new product software development to RTCA-DO-178B level A and B standards. Design responsibilities include: perform requirement analysis, software architecture design and optimization, data structure design, software partitioning for software criticality management, interface circuit requirement definition, high and low level software requirement development, control algorithm development, serial communication protocol development, programming in C and assembly language, hardware/software integration, memory usage analysis, stack usage analysis, timing analysis, throughput analysis, and other.

Verification responsibilities include: perform high and low level test case development, black box and script based test procedure development, data coupling and control coupling analysis, modified condition/decision coverage testing, software verification testing, hardware/software integration testing, test case and test procedure development for verification tool qualification. Software process responsibilities include: create, improve, and implement software development processes for certification documents, software/hardware functional partition, requirement definition, detail design, coding, system level test case development, module level test case development, structural coverage analysis, formal verification, and timing analysis. Generate project task lists, schedules, and estimates.

Strong organization, communication, presentation, and technical writing skills necessary. Job Qualifications/Educational Requirements Qualified candidates will have a BSEE or BSCE with a minimum of 7 years experience in the following areas: Embedded control software design, Embedded control software verification, ANSI C or MISRA C programming language, Scripting language, minimum of one: gel, perl, or pytheon. Developing software per an engineering development process for RTCA/DO-178B level A or B, for Software Engineering Institute CMMI level 3, or equivalent. Creating planning, design, verification, and analysis documentation per engineering process requirements, DO-178B experience preferred.
