Software Engineer Responsibilities • Designs, develops, maintains and implements software modules in a given product. • Works with minimal supervision on analysis tasks, and with little supervision on development tasks. • Collaborates within and across groups in writing functional and design specifications, development schedules, user interface specifications and doing usability studies. • Participates in the definition of the lifecycle of software process and in code reviews. • Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. • Extensive experience/good expertise with C/C++ in Windows or Unix environment is required. • Sound knowledge of system programming, OS internals, data structures, algorithms etc. • Excellent written and verbal communications skills at the business and technical level. • Creative problem solving approach, passion for quality and customer-first attitude. • Storage/ backup domain/ hardware Array knowledge will be strong plus • Self motivated, systematic and result oriented individual with passion for quality; excellent problem solving skills; ability to work with minimum supervision. Qualifications • Bachelor's/Masters Degree in computer Science or related discipline. • 2+ years hands on experience on C/C++ on Unix or windows. • Expertise on system programming, OS internals, data structures, algorithms etc.
