Senior Software Developer
* Be responsible for developing and maintaining high performing applications for TV and Entertainment guidance solutions.
* Work closely with business analysts and users to make sure that requirements and functional design specifications are accurate and well understood.
* Work closely with architects to design, develop and maintain robust, secure, scalable, high-availability and high-performance solutions.
* Develop detailed design specifications, unit test plans, and high-quality code.
* Work with a team of talented software engineers through the entire development cycle, from design through deployment.
* Work with the development team, QA team, and the rest of the Engineering group to define, build, and evolve into a world-class software development organization.
* Proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
* Expert-level experience implementing .NET-based Windows Forms and/or Web Forms applications. Specifically this will require strong knowledge of:
o .NET Framework versions 2.0 and forward
o C#
o Visual Studio 2005/2008
o Object oriented design concepts, techniques and patterns
o XML/XSL/XSLT
* Expert-level development experience with SQL Server 2005. Specifically this will require strong knowledge of:
o T-SQL
o Data modeling and table design
o Creation of stored procedures, views, functions and other database objects
o Creation of SQL scripts, and DTS/SSIS packages
* A proven track record of developing high-volume database application software, from initial requirements definition into production. This includes the ability to design and implement complete software solutions using the above technologies based on requirements and functional design documentation.
* 5+ years of experience in a team development environment working on projects with other developers
* Bachelor's degree in a technology field or equivalent experience
