Senior Software Sustaining Engineer
* Process incoming defects in our General Field releases. Work with engineering to determine where the root cause of the problem is, and be responsible for getting the defects resolved.
* Resolve field defects by troubleshooting and changing the C/C++ application code on our PC Server platform. Must have very good understanding of the Windows Operating System, and understanding of the Linux operating system would be a big plus.
* Resolve telecommuncations Server and Client issues.
* Be involved in the unit testing and verification of your own C/C++ code changes. Must have very good practical experience with writing code in C++ and C, using Object Oriented Design and Implementation methodologies.
* Participate in Sustaining Engineering activities, and follow up on assigned issues.
* Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years Software Engineering experience, with at least 1 years experience working on distributed real-time multi-threaded system applications using Microsoft Windows and/or Unix/Linux.
* Must have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and fix problems in a large complex production code base.
* Must have experience in C/C++ using standard coding practices such as STL and exception handling.
* Expertise in socket and networking programming, TCP/UDP/IP/RTP.
* Previous experience in Sustaining Software Engineering
* 2 Years experience with VoIP Telephony Systems and Applications.
* Experience in real-time call control, IVR systems and voice processing.
* Experience with cross-platform integration and Linux.
* Experience with SQL and interfacing with databases.
Education:
BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or a related field is required. Masters Degrees are preferred.
