Systems Administrator

•Maintain/update end-users on Microsoft Office 2003 applications and other new programs as necessary

•Conduct searches on the Internet to locate specific resources

•Troubleshoot via analytical processes in order to effectively problem solve

•Attend training seminars to remain current with new software changes

•Backup tapes, perform periodic server shutdowns, data wiring and cabling, telecomm wiring, PCs, Notebooks, monitors, keyboards, mice, telephone units and telephone software moves/changes, updates all locally-based software products as needed

•Provide frontline support for all office software products, support desktop and network printers, change toner, call the Helpdesk or specific vendors for second-level support

•Provide set-ups for computer projector and Video Conference services or delegates as needed, provide loaner Notebook PC’s as needed

•Provide training on primary hardware/software technology, including PC’s, WindowsXP, Office2003, other law-office software products; printers; scanners; & PDA’s

•Maintain records on status of hardware, software installations, and daily Helpdesk calls


The ideal candidate will have three - five years of experience. Ability/familiarity with software set-up instructions to successfully install/use the applicable program(s). Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office 03 and PC networking application’s techniques. WindowsXP; Office2003; ability to install/troubleshoot hardware/software; basic understanding of working in LAN and WAN environment. Strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to recognize and act on important details and deadlines. Must have ability to work under pressure, respond quickly to changing demands and be self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to meet overtime/weekend work requirements. Previous law firm experience is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Access is a plus. A minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year accredited college/technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience; preferred is a Bachelor’s degree
