Statistical Methods Developer
Seeking a computational scientist to assist with the development and refinement of methods to characterize the thermodynamics and structure of protein active site solvation. The ideal candidate is a computational scientist experienced in the analysis of molecular dynamics simulations, via application of information theoretic and statistical methods. The candidate should also have demonstrated excellent C/C++ and Python programming skills.
Required qualifications include:
Ph. D. or M. S. in Computer Science or related field
Extensive training in information theory or statistical methods
Experience in software engineering and software architecture
Expertise in functional and objected oriented C/C++ and Python programming
Experience in parallel and distributed programming
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Expert in Unix/Linux
Desirable qualifications include:
Peer-reviewed publications in computational chemistry or computer science
General understanding of the physics underlying protein-ligand binding
Experience in statistical biophysics, including protein-ligand binding and molecular dynamics simulation analysis
