UNIX (Solaris and Linux) system administrator
Requirements:
* B.S degree in Computer Science and/or appropriate certifications
* SUN Solaris-10 and Linux experiences are a must for this position
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Systems Administration in a high availability and distributed UNIX environment
* EMC SAN storage knowledge is a plus, especially with Clariion CX product line, Navisphere, MirrorView, and Snapview
* Understanding of some or all of the following technologies is also plus: BGP/RIP, VPN, SSL/SSH, SNMP, F5, LDAP, EMC, Nagios, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, FIX protocol
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated ability to function in a high pressure production support environment and make informed real-time decisions based on business priorities and implications.
Main responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Preventative and proactive system monitoring functions and real-time responses encompassing:
o Systems Administration
o Storage Administration
o Backup and Restore Administration
o Security Administration
* Working closely with developers, product managers and infrastructure teams on the identification and implementation of operational improvement activities, including change preparation, change execution, and post-change QA validation
