Java Developer
* Design, develop, test and deliver software solutions in the group for use by both internal and external customers.
* Analyse requirements for the solutions they deliver, to ensure that they provide the right solution
* Work within small teams of committed developers to deliver these solutions.
* Be a voice of knowledge and experience in their areas of expertise.
* Be a productive, independent, self-motivated Java developer.
* Contribute to the architecture of the Currencies Technology offering.
* Provide third-line technical support to the production systems when required.
* Five years of in-depth core Java J2SE development experience with knowledge of Multithreading and Collections.
* Two years of relational database experience, ideally Oracle.
* Knowlegde of Multithreading and Collections is a must
* Two years experience of multi-tier architectures.
* Knowledge of Adobe Flex is a plus.
* Knowledge of Python is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to effectively manage multiple streams of work and to organise self and others to deliver in a timely fashion.
* In-depth Understanding of performance tuning, message integrity and security related to real-time applications.
