Software Product Manager

# Defining Business Requirements (Familiarity with Capital Markets required) # Writing Functional Specifications # Managing Client / Product expectations # Management & Support of Product Lifecycles # Providing clients with expert product assistance and troubleshooting of our products & services via telephone and in person # Quality Assurance Testing # Training and Implementation

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who takes initiative and enjoys the challenge of problem-solving. The incumbent must have experience with writing business requirements and functional specifications, as well as experience with quality assurance testing. Demonstrated ability to understand the business and technical needs of the client, translate these needs into new products, and perform high-level troubleshooting is a must. The incumbent must therefore have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as excellent listening skills, as this role requires heavy phone and client contact. # 4-8 years experience as a Product Manager/Business Analyst # BA or BS in a related field is a plus # Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project required # Background in equity sales, research, trading, investment banking or financial data companies preferred # Background in Database/.NET programming a plus # Full product development life cycle knowledge and experience required. Should include but not be limited to successful product execution. # Demonstrated experience in building client relationships # Ability to collaborate and work well with multiple organizational and functional departments # Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task is a must # Must be able to work independently yet be a strong team player/ leader # Knowledge of SQL Queries a plus
