Sr. Software Engineer
# Understands the business processes that support manufacturing operations and the information flows required to support these. Harmonizes these as appropriate with global and regional standards.
# Monitors and improves customer satisfaction and service delivery parameters.
# Communicates and manages unscheduled outages as appropriate.
# Supervises recruitment, development, retention, and organization of Information Technology staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
# Enforces technology standardization for hardware, software and desktop platforms. Aligns local policies with corporate direction in this regards.
# Partners with Global IT Quality group to ensure validation compliance.
# Remains informed on trends and issues in Information Technology.
# Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE: Must have significant depth and breadth of understanding of Information Technology disciplines, including project management, architecture, and service level management. ITIL knowledge a strong plus. Must have a robust understanding of supply chain and manufacturing processes in a pharmaceutical setting.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Maintain frequent contacts with internal personnel and representatives of external organizations at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling of specific phases of projects or contracts. Conduct briefings and participate in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations. Must possess time management skills, organizational skills, writing skills, and computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Lotus Notes. Functions as an advisor to a unit regarding tasks, projects, and operations. Becomes actively involved in daily operations only when required to meet schedules or to resolve complex problems.
