Senior Java Developer/Tech Lead
Responsibilities include:
* Design and develop software solutions and components
* Identify, track and resolve of software defects and issues
* Analyze and tune application performance, with a focus on message throughput and latency
* Provide Level 3 production support
* Interface with users to capture and analyze business requirements
* Mentor junior programmers so they can develop and learn new technologies.
* Evangelize new technology and learning within the company.
* Evaluate new technologies and software products.
* Define and implement proof-of-concepts for proving new technologies and/or architecture patterns.
Requirements:
* BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
* Sincere passion for Java programming, very strong understanding of its core concepts and ability to write quality code on schedule.
* Familiarity with equity trading domain
* Knowledge of some or all of the following technologies:
* Service Oriented Architecture, Spring framework
* Java Messaging, Tibco Rendezvous, JMS, MQ, FIX messaging
* Oracle Coherence Cache
* JDBC, Hibernate, iBatis, SQL, Data Warehousing
* Web development technologies: J2EE, JBoss, Jetty, Tomcat, AJAX, SOAP.
* Source code control (Subversion), build tools (Ant)
