Software Programmer/Engineer - Java, C++
· Must have a BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or an applicable engineering or technical subject and at least a Secret Clearance
· Must have a minimum of 2+ years of software programming / development experience in an enterprise development in the following disciplines:
o Java and C++ programming
o Relational Database Management System design for PostgreSQL
o Application interface programming
o Planning, coding, debugging and compiling enterprise software component interfaces in a Linux environment, OGC in Keyhole Markup Language (KML) schema, Web Feature Service (WFS) interface standard, Web Map Service (WMS) protocol, and Shapefile data format
o Database interface programming
· Must also have experience with PERL, SQL and script programming languages
* Background in enterprise Linux and tools such as TRAC and Subversion. Experience with enterprise system level debugging analysis
* Experience in visualization techniques and tools is a plus. Weather background would be helpful, but is not mandatory
* General knowledge of other disciplines and how they relate to software engineering, including systems, hardware, integration/test, configuration management, and quality engineering
