Software Engineer
* Windows and web application development: build new internal applications to support content management
* Maintenance: investigate, troubleshoot, and implement fixes for bugs across all systems and tiers
* Architecture: participate in technical design of new and expanding systems and infrastructure
* Testing: perform initial self/unit testing on all code produced
* Requirements analysis: consume non-technical requirements documentation, providing feedback when necessary, translating into technical documentation, and/or using as basis for implementation
* Strong knowledge of the following technologies/concepts
o Object Oriented Design and programming techniques
o Service-Oriented Architecture
o SQL Server (2005 and up)/Transact-SQL
o .NET Framework 3.5, 4.0
o C# 3, 4
o HTML and CSS
o JavaScript and jQuery
o XML
o Must be a self-starter, needing little direction and capable of working in a fast-paced development environment
o Must be able to work from detailed specifications as well as designing and implementing independent projects
o Must be willing to participate in QA and HTML development
o Excellent communication and teamwork skills required
o Experience with Team Foundation System or similar source control system
o Strong UX knowledge is a plus
* Localizing websites for various languages, second spoken language a bonus
* Cloud development
* HTML 5
* 4+ years experience in software engineering, minimum 2 years experience in web development, preferably with high-volume websites. Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
