Software Engineering Intern
* Build new social networking features
* Extend and create innovative front-end and back-end solutions, including extensive data caching systems, database and application partitioning, AJAX communications, and more
* Help us meet aggressive performance and scalability goals and keep up ahead of dramatic growth
* Strong understanding of object-oriented design
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
* Strong coding abilities, if you have competed in any ACM or other competitions please include scores when applying
* Easygoing attitude - hard working individual who can work well in a team setting
* Expert knowledge of PHP/Java and other web-centric technologies
* Experience with multi-threaded Java programming
* Experience creating highly scalable and/or distributed solutions
* Advanced knowledge of SQL (Oracle preferred)
* HTML / CSS proficiency
* Background in physical sciences, mathematics, or statistics
