Software Performance Engineer
# Develop standardized performance strategies and solutions around various hardware, software, database, network and application technologies
# Outstanding attention to detail and communication skills
# Must be methodical in identifying application performance issues and system bottlenecks
# Must be comfortable working in an environment that is fast-paced with constant change.
# Needs to be a quick learner of new technologies
# Holistic troubleshooting and reasoning skills, does not jump to conclusions but bases decisions on facts
# Ability to convert ideas and facts into actionable recommendations for any part of the technology stack
# Ability to write and explain clear and concise technical documentation and present factual rationale for architectures and changes required
# Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience level is required
# Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Liberal Arts is acceptable
# Requires systems and software implementation experience, preferably on technically demanding projects
# At least 3 years experience with performance planning and trouble-shooting for systems, networks, and applications
# 1-2 years of benchmark testing and performance analysis using industry standard tools
# Exposure to performance and management tools such as Introscope, Vantage, SCOM, LoadRunner, Rational Performance Tester, JUnit, HTTPWatch, YSLOW, etc.
# Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking topology, routers, switches and load balancers
# Knowledge of synthetic traffic generation solutions (e.g. AlertSite, Topaz, Gomez, Keynote)
# Knowledge and understanding of functional automation practices within tools like RFT & QTP
