Sr. Java Game Engineer
Apply your knowledge of Java-based server technologies to enhance our games and gaming system. Assume ownership of key product components. In this hands-on role, be responsible for the design, implementation, unit test and delivery of new media and online game features. Hard core programming skills needed.
· Perform hands-on software design and game development in Java
· Create & Enhance features within our award-winning games.
· Implement using Test Driven Development using JUnit
· Work closely with management to determine feasibility of product features
· Perform peer code reviews and provide feedback
· Promote high quality and timely completion of games
· Work with globally distributed teams
· B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree required
· 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
· Object-oriented software development experience
· Java experience is critical; bonus points for C# experience
· Client/Server development experience
· MMO or social gaming development experience
· Weblogic, BlazeDS, or other Java-based server platform
· Experience with Agile development methodologies
· Experience with design patterns and refactoring, XML and XML-related APIs, UML
· Experience with open source technologies such as Ant, XSL and Eclipse
- Good oral and written communication skills
