Embedded Software Engineer
-Languages: Object oriented and functional programming, C, C++, C#, Java, assembly language, object oriented programming
-OS experience including kernal mods, drivers, and deployment of RTOS and/or embedded OS such as Embedded Linux, Android and other RTOS or custom kernels
-Tools such as compilers, linkers, debuggers, Gnu tools, Linux tools, Eclipse, make, Subverison , git, OpenEmbedded, busybox, etc...
-Computer software security experience including detection, prevention, and discovery of potential exploits a plus.
-Network experience with TCP/IP/UDP, sockets, WiFi, GSM, and other wireless devices, packet sniffing and debugging (e.g. Wireshark)
-Test and verification experience including requirements, unit and system level testing, simulation, code coverage a plus
-Hands-on experience building and integrating data acquisition, communications, navigation or embedded processing systems is highly desirable
In general the candidate should have a good understanding of how software actually runs down to the hardware layer.
-A Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering , math or computer science discipline. Coursework or experience in one or more relevant areas.
