Principal Software Engineer: C++, Java, OOD
-The Principal Software Engineer is responsible for performing complex analysis, design, development, unit testing and support of software applications and major features of existing software systems.
- The primary focus for the work will be defining and developing frameworks and applications to support generation, collection, and publishing of metrics and health data.
- 10+ years of experience developing software products using C++, Java, SQL in a Linux (or Unix) environment
- Demonstrated understanding of software development using SpringSource and Hibernate infrastructures
- Understand use of DBMS (preferably postgreSQL) as an embedded component
- Experience using a scripting language; preferably perl
- Excellent modeling skills; knowledge of REST-based modeling preferred
- Proven track record in delivering quality product(s) that are robust, scalable, and performant
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work with a distributed engineering team across time zones
- Knowledge of agile software development practice
- Knowledge of storage management concepts highly desirable
- Knowledge of system management frameworks (CIM, SNMP) highly desirable
