IT Principal Specialist Web Development
· Analyze, design, develop, implement, validate and complete documentation of highly complex web based software systems.
· Lead and direct users to provide appropriate information, facilitating change where required.
· Work directly with the business to gather requirements, provide recommendations, and build complex web and social media based solutions.
· Lead in the integration of business applications with web and social media based platforms.
· Create and execute project plans for all development initiatives.
· Lead project review meetings and effectively communicate progress against all project plans.
· Manage project budgets.
· Identify resources needed to successfully implement projects.
· Lead in training to provide effective knowledge transfer for all projects.
· Provide computer training as required to end users and computer department staff.
· Work closely with users, other computing personnel and, where necessary, suppliers of computer systems to identify/isolate software problems and faults.
· Lead investigations and appraisals of computer hardware, software and associated products for company use.
· Ensure work is compliant with applicable guidelines and regulations (e.g., SOP, GLP, GMP, etc.).
· Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.
· Oversee large, complex, important projects or more than one project, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work; evaluating results, etc.
· Perform all other related duties as assigned.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in computer science or related discipline.
· Experience: Minimum of 10 years related experience in web development. Experience in project management required.
· An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
