Infrastructure Software Engineer
Seeking a talented infrastructure software engineer to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will design and implement the software subsystems that form the backbone of Two Sigma’s research and trading software. Your responsibilities will include requirements-gathering, architecting and designing solutions, developing software systems (primarily in Java), defining and collecting goal-focused metrics, and optimizing performance.
In addition to having a strong computer science background and solid Java programming skills, successful candidates will have superior communication and organizational skills, the ability to analyze and optimize data structures and algorithms for efficiency, and an eagerness to write and review large amounts of high-quality software in a small team environment. An understanding of concurrency and distributed computing is preferred, as is general familiarity with existing open-source software packages. Large-scale data visualization experience is a plus
