Java/J2EE Software Engineer:
• Understand the business requirements.
• Translate the business requirements to technical requirements.
• Develop and document the solution.
• Perform unit testing and defect fixing, including authoring and executing test scripts
• Communicate and work closely with various cross functional teams.
• Must have a strong understanding of SDLC.
• Provides support to resolve customer issues
• Provide on-going support and maintenance for application.
• Strong sense of ownership of the application.
• Development of technical documentation including system design, tech spec, etc.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
• 5 or more years of experience in IT design/development/implementation and support of web based production systems.
• Must have strong analytical skills and experience in writing test scripts.
• Experience in the following technical areas:
o Java, JSP,J2EE
o Tomcat
o Through understanding of software development lifecycle and project management methodologies..
o Integrating and working with SQL databases PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle. Experience in PostgreSQL a plus
o Python scripting
