Senior Software Engineer
Act as a Software Engineer II as needed, including designing, writing and reviewing software to meet functional specifications and writing and executing test plans to minimize defects.
Write and/or review Beta and customer test plans, release documentation and user manual.
Make recommendations to improve software development and testing processes.
Assist the technical support department.
Develop training materials and conduct training.
Design and document software and hardware solutions.
Provide technical expertise, assistance and guidance to Software Engineers.
Function as a consultant to project leaders on technical issues.
Troubleshoot technical problems and communicate results.
Review the work of Software Engineers.
Develop and consistently achieve estimates for software development, testing and implementation activities according to quality standards.
Lead project related tasks.
Provide software design, development, and implementation training.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years related experience and/or training.
Strong knowledge in Java, Unix or Windows and SQL.
Good leadership and communication skills.
Demonstrated technical expertise.
Occasional travel
