Embedded Digital Software Engineer
Seeking an experienced digital software engineer who must have working knowledge with digital signal processing and proficiency with C and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of C++ is desirable. The incumbent will be responsible for designing software for microcontroller based gas detection products in C language. Products will be both portable battery powered and permanently installed area monitoring systems. The products are used in varied industrial environments to monitor air quality. Software development will consist of both new product development and maintenance of existing product lines.
This individual will also be responsible for developing control system algorithms. Systems may include pressure sensors, flow controllers, temperature sensors, pneumatics, pumps, and motors. The person will need to design closed or open control loops, perform tests, and write code to support the system and be a member of cross functional project development teams in a matrix organization. Some PC application development may also be required as well as pre-coding work, code and test writing, and verification of design. Light international travel may be required.
