Software Engineer
* Design, develop, debug, and maintain algorithms, systems, and high-quality code for our products and backing technologies. Product areas include: virtualization engine, data storage and analysis, desktop client, web site (client and server), server infrastructure, development tools, and systems administration
* Quickly learn new languages and technologies appropriate to a range of problem domains
* Achieve zero defect code by designing and implementing effective automated unit tests and creating simplicity-optimized, highly maintainable, thoroughly documented code
* Work effectively with development team members, product management, contract staff, and customer engineers to solve extremely challenging technical and design problems
* Develop and meet project schedules and maintain accurate defect-tracking database records
* Strong technical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop and debug software in one or more of: C#, C/C++, Scala, JavaScript, assembly language
* Ability to rapidly learn new languages and technologies
* B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related discipline, or equivalent work experience
* Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to use a computer during most work hours; and ability to work independently and with other team members in a fast-paced and demanding startup environment
