Software Analyst / Software Developer (Web Systems)
:
* Apply technical expertise and leadership to develop, implement, and support innovative business solutions, including new web applications and modifications to existing production web applications.
* Identify, evaluate, design, develop, deploy, and support systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
* Produce technical documentation as required including designs and procedures.
* Analyze functional design and/or overall application technical design and identify opportunities for improving application functionality and performance issues.
* Develop and implement maintenance plans to address technical and business issues.
* Provide full range of support for production web applications which may include configuration, administration, upgrades/patches, system documentation, user support, bug fixes, enhancements, and training.
* Develop, document and implement policies, procedures and standards to ensure internal controls and provide effective database and software management.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent experience required. Masters degree desired. Certification is desired for this position
* Requires at least 5 years relevant technical experience including demonstrated experience designing, developing, deploying and supporting Java/J2EE web applications.
* Requires in-depth knowledge of applicable Web-based application programs and programming languages.
* Full Software Development Life Cycle experience including development of documentation such as requirements documents, technical specifications, design documents and test documentation.
* Data modeling and understanding of database design concepts.
* Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
* Strong organizational and communication skills as well as effective problem analysis and resolution abilities.
* Demonstrated expert knowledge of technical design alternatives and the implications of each.
* In depth working knowledge of SE disciplines derived from SE and SEI capability maturity models.
