.Net Software Engineer

The candidate will oversee the full software lifecycle of rich, database-driven Windows applications targeted at internal customers using current technologies surrounding Microsoft C# and the .Net Framework.
*
The candidate will maintain and develop methodologies for the ongoing assessment of database performance and the identification of problem areas.
*
The candidate will maintain and develop security schemes for the database environment, as well as assisting in disaster recovery if necessary.
*
The candidate will implement and debug subsystems and components.
*
The candidate will develop and maintain XML and Microsoft SQL Server database schemata.
*
The candidate will create and maintain requirements specifications, design specifications, test plans, and test documentation for new and existing applications.
*
The candidate will generate and maintain spreadsheets and database reports using current technologies surrounding Microsoft SQL Server.
*
The candidate will occasionally perform other responsibilities outside of their usual responsibilities such as automated testing, production support or development tasks.
*
The candidate will be available to participate in occasional after-hours software installations.
*
BS in Computer Science, a related degree, or equivalent experience
*
4+ years professional software development experience, with strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and database structures, theories, principles, and practices
*
Proficient at gathering user requirements and converting them into software specifications
*
Proficient in designing and developing test plans and test cases and testing scenarios.
*
Proficient at developing and/or consuming relational databases using SQL Server
*
Strong team player able to work in fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs
*
Excellent oral and written communication skills with technical and non-technical staff
*
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
