Senior applications Developer
· Develop, maintain and test business applications
· Perform application/database changes to meet given requirements
· Test changes made prior to User Acceptance Testing, addressing issues as they arise. which may include participating in a regression and/or stress-testing scenarios
· Design system solutions to address change requests taking system performance consideration into account
· Analyze change/report requests to ascertain impact to system architecture , system performance, and user experience
· Respond to inquiries to establish/confirm system behavior
· Provide input to the Business Analyst or Project Manager for the creation of the Business Design Specifications
· Create or updater the Technical Design Specifications.
· Assist in the promotion of changes through various environments which may includes the creation of implementation and back-out plans
· Participate in post-implementation activities, including addressing issues, determining lessons learned.
· Bachelor’s degree, or 4 year equivalent, required
· Over 8+ years of experience in JAVA development
· In-depth knowledge of Java including JUNIT
· Technical understanding of Oracle PL/SQL, JDBC, XML is required
· Technical understanding of Web Services technologies and SOA concepts
· REST, SOAP and WSDL is required
· Experience supporting enterprise applications in customer environment is a must
· Exposure to mature development processes including use of source code control
· Knowledge of other Java technologies such as Servlet, Hibernate
· Knowledge of Unix environments
· Experience with Weblogic and Eclipse
· Understanding of emerging technologies and trends that could impact the field and the business
· Can take the initiative to resolve customer concerns quickly
· Previous Mortgage Industry experience preferred
· Knowledge of all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support
· Strong communication skills
