Principal Software Engineer
- Develop, implement, enhance, and maintain build and release management tools
- Analyze requirements to develop and execute consistent procedures, automation of builds, continuous integration, upgrading source code management practices and structuring source tree for efficiency and stability
- Identify and implement tools to distribute build results, metrics reporting and tools support.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields and/or equivalent experience Required Skills:
- Strong: Linux/bash shell scripting
- Strong: Linux administrative tools
- Strong: Ant, Maven
- Strong: CVS and/or Perforce and/or Subversion and/or Git and/or ClearCase and/or TFS, usage and administration
- Medium: Windows command scripting, InstallAnywhere
- Medium: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PL/SQL
- Medium: Jenkins/Hudson, Cruise Control, and/or other code quality/code coverage tools
- Medium: JIRA, Confluence, Fisheye
- Familiarity with Java, Apache, XML People and Project Management Skills
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, on quality
- Ability to lead technical projects and code/script at the same time Experience
- 3+ years of professional J2EE development/deployment experience with heavy use of all important Java technologies. Experience on popular web application servers such as JBoss, WebLogic, or Web Sphere preferred
- 3+ years of professional release management experience that leveraged source control systems and automated build tools
- Experience with Apache, HTML, CGI, JavaScript, SQL
- XML, XSL, CSS, JSP, PHP, Java Servlets, ColdFusion, RDBMS, Oracle
- Monitoring tools a plus.
