Jr. Data Center Engineer
-Provide high quality 1st and 2nd level data center support
-Troubleshoot server hardware, Windows and Linux operating systems
-Troubleshoot networking hardware and network and circuit connectivity issues
-Support projects that evolve as a result of technical business initiatives
-Maintain and build technical knowledge through continuous education with a focus on data center technology
-Develop and maintain technical documentation, processes and solutions to improve efficiency
-Manage relationships with external vendors for various services
-Manage system configurations, deployment activities, and testing
-Coordinate technical resources and communicate to both business and technology communities while responding to production issues
-Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a related position required; previous industry and/or financial support experience a plus
-End user client support experience a plus
-Bachelors degree or technical diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline preferred; MCSE, CCNA or equivalent certifications a plus
-Windows knowledge required; basic knowledge of Linux/Unix preferred
-Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting
-Must be able work well and troubleshoot quickly in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
-Well-developed communication, time management, and listening skills required
-Self-motivated to maintain the highest quality of work and strong attention to detail
-Superior organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills required
-Willingness to work additional hours when necessary
-Ability to work autonomously or in a group environment required
-Extensive local travel to data center/collocation facilities located between Central New Jersey, North New Jersey and Manhattan required
-Ability to lift/move objects up to 60+ pounds required
-Must possess valid driver's license and vehicle for local travel
