Job Summary Job Summary: As a Common Test Lab (CTL) Software Engineer you will work as part of a team responsible for actively participating in driving CTL application development and strategy. In addition, you will participate in activities that include testing and debugging of CTL application that manage a centralized common computing resources for testing of NetApp storage software and hardware. As part of the Research and Development function, the overall focus of the group is on competitive market and customer requirements, technology advances, product quality, product cost and time-to-market. Software engineers focus on enhancements to existing products as well as new product development. Essential Functions: - A major part of your responsibility will be to apply current skills and use up-to-date technologies to complete projects as part of the development cycle including: • Design • Coding • Testing • Test automation • Debugging • Reliability • Performance analysis As part of a team, you will participate/lead technical discussions where evaluating and executing design and development plans for products are reviewed. Job Requirements • Perl, Php or scripting, MVC, JQuery, Database design and development experience required; systems experience is a plus • Proficient knowledge of operating system technologies and algorithms • Working knowledge of Unit Test Frameworks, Agile Development Methodology • Proficient knowledge of computer architecture concepts, data structures and standard programming practices. • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential • Work collaboratively within a team environment of other engineers to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards • Interact with software systems engineer or other technical leader to understand subsystem and component specifications and recommend changes to facilitate efficient and effective development Education and Experience Education & Experience: - A minimum of 5 years of experience is required. 6 to 8 years of experience is preferred - A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master Degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required - Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks Posting Category Software Engineering Full time / Part time Full-time Posting Location Requisition Number 25254BR
