Senior Systems Engineer
* Install, administer, monitor, troubleshoot, document, and maintain multiple SharePoint farms to ensure maximum availability of mission critical systems and applications in SharePoint.
* Lead in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new SharePoint based initiatives (Upgraded Versions, Third-Party Solutions, and Integration with additional Enterprise Systems).
* Monitor performance of SharePoint and related infrastructure to perform tuning and maintenance to prevent unplanned downtime or performance degradation.
* Develop and ensure backup and recovery processes are implemented to provide data recovery in accordance with agreed upon service levels.
* Work with various business teams to design and develop solutions to address business needs and opportunities, and propose changes that would make the SharePoint environment a more effective solution. Examine requirements, document and create technical design documents, unit test, system test and implementation plans for small to complex projects.
* Analyze and identify inefficiencies and make recommendations on modifications to existing architecture, new technology or processes to improve the efficiency and operation of the SharePoint sites\farms.
* Formulate and enforce policies, standards and guidelines regarding SharePoint farms and individual SharePoint sites.
* Provide tier 2 and tier 3 support for SharePoint. Resolve issues and fulfill requests quickly, efficiently, and focused on customer satisfaction.
* 5 years prior work experience in information technology/system administration. Focus on design, implementation, administration and support of:
o SharePoint 2010, 2007 including Standard and Enterprise versions
o Microsoft Server 2008R2/2008/2003
* Experience in deploying applications written for SharePoint 20103
* Proficient in Powershell scripting.
* General knowledge with MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012, transactional queries, stored procedures, triggers, views and writing ad-hoc queries
* Experience with SharePoint templates, workflows, customization, branding and web development (HTML, CSS, XSL, XSLT, JavaScript)
* Experience using SharePoint Designer
* Works well within a team environment and individually
* Complete and thorough understanding of Information Technology infrastructure and how coordinating components translate to service delivery
* Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle methods.
