Windows Server and Automation Senior Engineer
Research and develop methods for the purpose of automating the installation of operating systems, software packages and agent deployments
Creation and deployment of scripts used to automate internal processes utilizing scripting languages such as PowerShell and JavaScript
Work with external teams to maintain organizational base image standards
Provide 3rd tier on-call support for production issues
Mentor junior team members on OS best practices
Research and develop new methods for automating server builds as well as operations daily operational tasks
Set up training classes and may function as a tool administrator, working with vendors, internally coordinating product upgrades and fixes.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you should have 5+ years of progressive Windows server implementation, support experience. You should also have working knowledge with scripting languages such as PowerShell and JavaScript. Experience with .NET web development (utilizing ASP.NET and VB.NET) would be a plus. In addition, you should have a Bachelor Degree in a related technical field or similar discipline.
Ability to design and create Windows Server images and base templates
Windows Server support, troubleshooting, and performance analysis
PowerShell automation leveraging WMI and build automation
JavaScript for task automation
VMware knowledge (vCenter Orchestrator knowledge is a plus)
