Sr. Software Engineer
10 + years of hands-on experience designing, building, integrating and deploying embedded devices.
Expert knowledge of relevant development tools & code management repositories (Netbeans, Eclipse, SVN or equivalent).
Experience with co-located / multi-site engineering team.
P\ide technical leadership in designing and implementing complex applications requiring high performance and availability.
Embedded C mandatory, Visual Studio a plus.
Fluent in Java and JNI.
JAVA application server experience a plus.
EBIF and XML experience desirable.
UI experience desirable.
Experience with scripting languages (Perl, shell scripting, etc)
Background in multiple current, and legacy Linux versions.
Experience with build systems (Ant, Maven), unit testing (JUnit, etc), version control software (Subversion, Perforce, VSS, etc.) and bug tracking systems (JIRA, Version One etc).
Experience with iterative development life cycle methodologies (Agile / SCRUM development practices a plus).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Cable industries experience a plus.
