Lead Programmer Analyst / SAS Research Programmer
Program and develop code in Base SAS, SAS/STAT.
Partner with analytic team to understand reporting requirements and transform requirements into production SAS code.
May have independent responsibility for managing very large data files (20MM plus records) associated with medical claims and other government programs.
Display good judgment and practice in working with highly confidential information. Follow all applicable privacy and confidentiality procedures in daily work.
Experience with Medicare/Medicaid claims a must.
Experience in working with patient assessment data (MDS, OASIS) a plus.
Significant experience with programming and development in Base SAS.
Experience with SAS Reporting, SAS/GRAPH, SAS Macro Language and other SAS tools.
Demonstrated ability with a wide variety of data structures, coding schemes, and data sources.
Excellent understanding of data manipulation and linkage of datasets.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience with SQL queries for health care data extractions from client databases a plus.
Experience with MS SQL, MS Access, STATA a plus.
Experience with IBM mainframe computers and software (JCL,TSO) a plus.
BA/BS with 10 years of experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
