JUNIOR SOFTWARE PROGRAMMER
Database programming and design in a large scale SQL Server 2008 environment
Design, write and review complex stored procedures, functions and views using Transact SQL
Optimize query performance with large databases using various programming techniques
Write quality programming code while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
Develop and maintain software applications, automated batch processes and web sites
Troubleshoot production issues to get them resolved in a timely manner
Provide innovative technical solutions to solve business problems
BA/BS in Computer Science or related subject required
In-depth knowledge of all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
2-3 years of experience as an SQL Server database developer or Software Programmer required
Developer or programmer experience in the financial services industry preferred
Strong skills in Transact SQL, SQL Server 2008 and SQL Reporting
Experience with C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Windows Services and Web Services a plus
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated, can-do attitude
Able to prioritize competing projects and workflow under tight deadlines with minimal supervision
Able to build prototype based on a simple idea
