Software Engineer
· Develops database schemas and access methods as necessary to support system development
· Works with users and other members of the Product Engineering department to identify and solve system problems
· Modifies systems to add new capabilities, address deficiencies, and correct problems
· Participates in appropriate meetings, seminars and training sessions to stay abreast of new technologies that are useful to solve business problems
· Estimates timelines and effort and risk associated with satisfying specific system requirements
· Develops and executes test plans for unit and system level testing in accordance with specifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline or equivalent experience
· 3+ years of commercial experience working as an applications developer
· Solid understanding of and experience with object oriented programming concepts such as design patterns, encapsulation and inheritance, database design and software architecture
· Experience working in n-tier architectures and Software as Service architectures desired
· Experience with Agile software development practices, unit testing and continuous integration environments
· Ability to work across a wide range of disciplines including Web User Interfaces, Mobile Devices, Web Services, and Application Services
· Experience in converting legacy applications desired
· Experience working in the following technologies desired
