Junior Java Developers
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Implement program and code changes as directed by the Lead Java Developer
Implement new features and enhancements to existing or new applications
Help design new changes or features under the guidance of the Lead Java Developer
Debug and document existing programs as needed.
Provide technical support to the help desk and directly to end users for more advanced user issues.
Participate in Code reviews, to review for correctness and enforce coding best practices and coding standards.
Organize and schedule application release activities.
Required Skills
Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of related experience is required.
Required Minimum Experience: 2 years hands on programming experience in a Java development environment.
Required Skills and Qualities:
Thorough understanding and 2 years of hands-on experience writing code in Java
Desire and ability to quickly acquire new technical skills.
Understanding of databases and ability to write SQL code as needed.
Experience in reviewing, analyzing and troubleshooting Java code.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of MS Office Suite, and demonstrated success in client support.
Good problem solving skills with design and hands on development experience.
