Associate Software (Web) Developer
The Position: The Details
You will have hands-on approach while participating in all phases of the development process (Agile) with a constant focus on improving process and the overall quality of applications
You will help define requirements and develop software for web-based storage management
You will use object-oriented analysis techniques to gather and document requirements, code and unit test
You will develop estimates for your own assigned work and complete software development, testing and/or maintenance tasks in a timely and accurate manner
You will use your expertise and technical leadership to identify potential problems with applications/systems, address challenging issues, and recommend alternative solutions
You will have the opportunity to test software in a variety of configurations and work with QA to develop comprehensive test cases
You will have the opportunity to assist with resolution of customer issues that arise in the deployed products
You will communicate with designers and other application developers to ensure that all User Interface and requirements are met
Position Requirements: What You Need
Technical Skills
Experience using an object oriented language (C, C++, Java)
Experience with a variety of web technologies such as HTML and Javascript
Experience with MySQL database
Experience with Linux/Unix
Experience with web/application servers (Apache, Tomcat, or Jetty)
Experience with web site creation
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
