Application Support Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day support, management and troubleshooting of custom applications Configure custom and vendor applications on Windows Servers Daily interaction with product development team to support application design, development, testing and implementation Deploy application code as requested in Non-Production and Production environments Ensure high availability of applications Troubleshoot application issues and escalations Configure application performance monitoring and alerting Document application environments Provide on-call and occasional after-hours support

Required Qualifications:

3+ years experience with Windows operating systems (Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2) in an enterprise environment 3+ years experience administering web servers (IIS or Apache) in an enterprise environment Experience in multi-tenant Software as a Service (SaaS) environments Expert analytical troubleshooting skills of .NET web applications In depth knowledge of system tools, deployments and procedures that aid in the operation and troubleshooting of software components Proficient in database SQL (MS SQL or PostgreSQL) Expertise in monitoring system and application performance Experience writing Powershell scripts Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelorís degree in CS, IS, Engineering or related discipline
