Software Configuration Management Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for software configuration management activities, including:
Define, develop, maintain, and distribute the SCM plan and procedures department-wide. Collaborate with management and lead developers to implement process enhancements and improvements.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise configuration management activities for engineering and production support across several products and projects.
Execute and document, as necessary, the SCM day-to-day activities, such as merging, labeling, building, and packaging software products.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications, Education, Skills and Experience
Position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of SCM best practices and standards (e.g. IEEE)
Working knowledge of underlying principles of SCM, demonstrated by experience in two distinct SCM environments
Working knowledge of maintaining build system and automating build processes.
Experience managing source code control systems, build automation, and deployment techniques
Position requires 4+ years' experience in software development or configuration management.
Experience building software products with C/C++, Visual Studio
Experience administering Windows servers
Experience administering Linux servers (headless, command-line only)
Knowledge of scripting languages, including Perl & Python
