Software Lead / Architect
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Accurately estimates the magnitude and time requirements to complete for projects. Provides accurate and timely updates to project leadership on progress.
· Whiteboards designs for new systems, or changes to existing systems.
· Writes high quality code following modern best practices for both internal and external facing systems.
· Utilizes source control, continuous integration and unit testing practices.
· Debugs code issues and is able to provide impact assessments for changes, both within development and production environments.
· Participates in peer review of work products such as code, designs, and test plans produced by other team members.
· Assists other team members, serving as an 'expert' either in the business application, development technologies or Software Development Lifecycle processes (such as reviewing, designing and testing).
· Performs other duties as needed.
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Proficiency in the following: Microsoft WPF, Microsoft .NET 4+, C# 4+, Microsoft Visual Studio 2013+
· Experience with Microsoft WCF
· Experience architecting large, complex systems
· Possess great communication skills
· Works well in a small team environment
· Capable of utilizing visual mockups for rapid prototype development
· At least 8 years experience in software development
· At least 3 years experience providing technical leadership of software development teams
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline and 4-6 years experience with applicable tools and languages; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
