Engineering Interview in Technical Round: Where were your early contributions in your engineering work — planning, design, construction, operation, writing, teaching, and research?

The interviewer(s) through this question would be judging your competency level in various stages of the project. This question may come in the beginning or in the later part of the interview. It is therefore ideal to answer all the other questions in respect to the answer of this question or vice versa. In the earlier questions if have shared your professional knowledge then answer it as a gist of all the questions. You may say, “I started my career as an assistant to the chief research scientist. I used to assist him in research work and later arranged the data. I have also assisted my reporting officer in formulating teaching modules for internal tests and other requirements.”
